We see Dynamic works as being the most relevant for Kista Science CIty, reflecting the dynamism and flux of the digital networks and technologies that originate from the city.
An imporatant aspect of all these works is to stimualte expectation for cultural works whether ambient ie adding subtly to the environment or as spectacles: points of focus and identification.
Interactive Institute in collaboration with IceLab at the Swedish Institute of COmputer Science have created an elegant interactive light sculpture for the entrance of the Electrum building in Kista. The piece is communicated with via bluetooth from visitors and residents mobile phones to create a fascinating play of light and colour.
Interference was the showcase game for the ground breaking iPerg pervasive game project. Funded to the tune of 6 million euros by the EU, the 3 year iPerg project succeeded in defining a new sector of the digital dame industry: pervasive gaming, the fusion of digital and real world game play. Interference run for a week in the streets of Kista with a dark drama, actors, players, a large devil doll and a bone flute. The game ipened up a new experience in game playing to the delight of participants and the public. CIK helped with organising locations and contacts for the games production. Visit the website here.
